AFA suggests helping women’s shelter instead of ’50 Shades’’s Monica Cole, who heads the One Million Moms ministry, says the film, and the book it’s based on, degrades women and glamorizes sexual abuse. Dawn Hawkins, executive director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, says it’s the entertainment media that is pushing sexual violence on the public, citing a rise in sexual violence on college campuses and the military.  AFA is publicizing a social media movement that urges  the public to donate at least $50 to a women’s shelter instead of paying to see the film.
