Nichola Baird, 30, from Hebburn in Tyne and Wear, gave birth to twin boys Kyle and Jake last September. President Obama’s Real Promise—It’s Not to Destroy ISIS real promise was not to use ground troops. He was very clear about that: “As I have said before, these American forces will not have a combat mission — we will not get dragged into another ground war in Iraq.”     And again: “But I want the American people to understand how this effort will be different from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. “Data Mining” Core or Common Core? Tuesday, FRC hosted a webcast, “Common Core: The Government’s Classroom,” which featured several government officials and education experts discussing the flaws behind the Obama Administration’s program designed to improve testing and curriculum. Common Core has experienced quite a bit of backlash from both educators and parents alike, as the standards for this program were not fully developed prior to implementation at the state level.

Homeland Security chief drops amnesty bombshell Secretary Jeh Johnson, in a meeting Wednesday with the influence-wielding Council on Foreign Relations, indicated the president didn’t want to add fuel to an already burning fire of conservative anger over illegal immigration before this November’s critical mid-term elections. To do so might cause a repeat of the historic Democrat losses of 1994 and 2010.

Texas Parents Stunned by Common Core Materials Coming Home From School have heard endlessly that there is no Common Core in Texas. It is the law. To her surprise, a Boerne Independent School District (ISD) parent pulled out the “6 Math Terms to Know (in primary grades)” from her kindergartener’s Fabra Elementary take home folder in the Texas Hill Country. Apparently, “Common Core” itself is a math term that five year olds need to know. Similar enough to use the same books, maybe. Texas, which rejected Common Core still wrestles with its own demon, CSCOPE, the controversial curriculum management system that had its own issues with biased and incorrect historical content. Today, it lurks in the shadows as the rebranded TEKS resource system. It isn’t only public schools, private school families are experiencing the same Common Core surprises with instructional materials.
